Choux Cafe - Cottesloe

Apple Custard Tart

In three minutes....

You would think a French Patisserie would also give you a complimentary voucher to see a Diabetes Educator when they pass you a tart you've purchased for morning tea.

I've always associated French desserts to be overly-sugary, buttery
and/or blood-glucose-level-raising.

This gorgeous Apple Custard tart was surprisingly not overly-sweet.

Perfectly sliced apples layered over a base of smooth custard.
Crunchy shortcrust pastry base.
Gorgeous orange macaron added to perfect this tart.

Delicious, more-ish and dangerously addictive.
